Deadlines for Execution of Payments during Easter Holidays

15.04.2014

Danske Bank processes domestic and international payments during the Easter holidays as follows:

Domestic payments will be accepted for execution and forwarded to the beneficiary’s bank on the same banking day if the payment order reaches the bank before 4:30 pm on 17 April.

18 April is a public holiday and no international payments are processed.

21 April is a business day in Estonia, but as it’s Easter Monday, both of the pan-European clearing systems TARGET2 and EBA STEP2 are closed. Interbank payments are therefore sent to the beneficiary’s bank on 22 April. Intrabank payments are executed until 9:00 pm on all calendar days.

International payments will be accepted for execution at usual times.

They will be accepted on the same business day if the payment order reaches the bank:
before 5:00 pm on 17 April; before 3:00 pm for EU, urgent and extra urgent payments; and before 4:00 pm for intragroup payments.

As 18 and 21 April are public holidays in many European countries, then no payments to these countries will be executed.

Depending on the type of international payment, the value dates of these payments in euros are determined as follows:
- extra urgent payment order and intragroup payment – 17 April 2014
- urgent and EU-payment order – 22 April 2014
- ordinary payment – 23 April 2014

18 April is a public holiday and no international payments will be executed.

International payments in euros will not be made on 21 April, as the pan-European clearing systems TARGET2 and EBA STEP2 will be closed.

Happy holidays!
