We are currently upgrading bank systems in Danske Bank and will take them to a single platform in all Baltic countries as of April 01, 2018. Thanks to new bank systems, we can offer services to the customers with international business needs.

We will further provide new bank systems design, terms and conditions of agreements and services in Estonian and English

Main changes in services

Bank Accounts

What do I need to know?

  • The interest calculation of current account balance is changing. When the interest was so far calculated from the minimum balance of the calendar month, from April 01, 2018, it will be calculated from an average balance of the calendar month of the current account.
  • The interest calculated to the current account from 01.01.2018 will be paid out on the last calendar day of the current month.
  • If there is no payment package linked to the current account opened for a legal person registered in Estonia, the monthly fee of 3 euros will be applied to the account.
  • Due to the transition to the new platform, the bank will debit monthly service fees from your account for March earlier than usual, at the latest on March 30 or 31, 2018 and will pay to your account an interest for depositing the funds in your account on March 31, 2018.

What do I need to know?

  • From April 01, 2018 shall apply the terms and conditions for providing payment services, where payment-related items are regulated in more detail than now. Earlier, this part was written in the terms and conditions of the current account agreement and in the price list.
  • The transfers between the Baltic banks of the Danske Bank start to take place in real time in all weekdays and times.
  • In the Internet Bank, you can initiate both Estonian and foreign payments from the same payment form. According to the entered data, only the fields necessary for completing relevant payment will be displayed to you step by step.
  • The data of the defined payments marked in the Internet Bank are transferred to the new system. To make a payment to a recipient in your defined payment list, please enter the first letters of his/her first or last name in the payee´s field, and you will see a selection of the defined payments.
  • So far, you have been able to initiate payments in the Internet Bank also in case there were no sufficient funds on your current account at the moment of initiating the payment. The bank will monitor your current account balance at the date indicated on the payment, and will perform the payment as soon as the account balance is sufficient. In the future, we will check necessary funds for the payment not only on the current day but also on the following calendar days. The waiting period of funds in the Internet Bank is set by default 7 (seven days). If you do not want to use that function, you can change the settings. You can also select a setting where all payments for which there is no sufficient funds in your current account will be canceled immediately.
  • The payment limits are changing. The current weekly limit will be replaced with a monthly limit, which is a quadruple (4-times) weekly limit. The current daily limit remains valid. These changes concern euro payments, in other existing currencies the limit is automatically set to 0 euros. For changing the limits please contact the bank.
  • When initiating the domestic payments, the payee's account number must be entered in the form of IBAN. The Bank will not recalculate the short domestic account numbers to IBAN.
  • If the e-invoice payment day is specified in the date range from 29 to 31, it is automatically replaced with the 28th date.
  • If the payment date has been marked as the day of receiving of the e-invoice, it is automatically replaced with a payment day that is two days after receiving of the e-invoice.
  • The E-invoice automatic payment agreement concluded for an indefinite period becomes a fixed-term contract for 30 years from the moment of signing.
  • The principles of confirmation rights of orders are changing. The current confirmation rights presented in percentage are replaced with approval rights based on approval levels. For example, a user with current confirmation right of 100% will be transferred to level A. The user has automatically similar confirmation rights towards all payments made on the all accounts of the same company.
  • Only the user who has entered or confirmed or can confirm the payments can see the payments in the payments list.
  • Changes in payment packages:
    • All customers with payment packages can now make free of charge unlimited number of intra-bank payments. If desired, the customer will get a free PIN-calculator.
    • Current account monthly administration fee shall not be applied to the customers who have joined the payment package.
    • Payment package 100 has been added.
    • The bank debits the package's monthly fee still on the 1st date, but the fee for exceeding the payments contained in the package will be debited on the last date of the month.
  • The current salary payment form for companies shall not be valid anymore. Current assigned payroll recipients will be transferred to the new system, but in the future, it is required to make the payment separately for each payee. To make the salary payments more convenient, we recommend that companies use the option of importing the payments.
  • Only the user who imported the file can see the imported payment files.
  • The user can make payments and currency exchange orders between own accounts in an unlimited amount and free of charge and no separate confirmation is needed.
  • Attention should be paid to changes in payment speed options when initiating the foreign payments: the selection of currencies for initiating foreign payments is expanded (DKK, GBP, SEK and NOK will be added) and RUB payments can be initiated at varying speed. Information on the bank's value day and service fee corresponding to the payment type will be shown in the Internet Bank before the payment is confirmed.
  • From the menu of standing orders the customer can enter into the agreement for automatic payment of the Estonian payments as well as EU payments according to the standing order schedule.

What do I need to do?

  • Because the principles of the confirmation rights of orders are changing automatically, we ask you to review the rights of your company's employees after introduction of the new Internet Bank.
  • It is recommended that the business customers who have used the salary payment form so far, use payment files that are easy to import into the bank system and thereby convenient for making payments.

What do I need to know?

  • The standard terms and conditions of the term deposit as well as the savings account are changing from April 01, 2018. The new standard terms shall be applied for the currently valid as well as new term deposits and the saving accounts to be concluded.
  • In the future, the customer can open more than one saving account related with one current account. The customer can make unlimited payments and disbursements from or to the saving account.
  • The customer cannot change the additional interest for a valid saving account (three or six months). The period of additional interest shall start at the conclusion of the saving account agreement and interest will be paid for it on the last day of the additional interest period.

What do I need to know?

  • The standard terms and conditions of the term deposit as well as the savings account are changing from April 01, 2018. The new standard terms shall be applied for the currently valid as well as new term deposits and the saving accounts to be concluded.
  • In the future, the customer can open more than one saving account related with one current account. The customer can make unlimited payments and disbursements from or to the saving account.
  • The customer cannot change the additional interest for a valid saving account (three or six months). The period of additional interest shall start at the conclusion of the saving account agreement and interest will be paid for it on the last day of the additional interest period.

Loan products

What do I need to know?

  • Leasing contracts shall be subject to the same terms.
  • The payment date of loans may change in the future. If the day of the loan payment (incl end date of the loan agreement) falls on the holiday, the payment date will automatically be postponed to the next business day. This means that the interest is calculated until the next business day. The specified change shall enter into force for each agreement from the beginning of the next interest period, i. e from the moment when the new base interest is applicable the loan contract.
  • Note that the payment date for using the consumer loan, on-demand consumer loan and intra-day limit services may change in the future. If the payment date falls on the holiday, it will automatically be moved to the next business day. This means that the interest is calculated until the next business day. This change will apply from April 01, 2018.
  • The new payment schedule is prepared so that current payment days will be recalculated according to the business days. For example, if the payment day is the 13th date and it is Saturday, the new payment day will be Monday, the 15th of the month. The same rule applies to loan maturity date, where the last payment day will automatically move to the business day.
  • Please note that regarding the submission of data of the tax return or interests paid for housing loan and leasing in 2017 to the Tax and Customs Board, there will be disruptions in the work of Danske's Internet Bank from March 30 to April 02 due to the transition to the new technical platform, and it is not possible to submit declarations at that time. If you want to provide the bank's data on housing loan and leasing interests via Danske Internet bank, we will ask you to do it before March 30.

What do I need to do?

  • As regards the submission of the tax return, please follow the date of 30 March indicated above and, if possible, provide it even earlier.

What do I need to know?

  • Leasing contracts shall be subject to the same terms.
  • The payment date of loans (incl end date of the loan agreement) may change in the future. If the day of the loan payment falls on the holiday, the payment date will automatically be postponed to the next business day. This means that the interest is calculated until the next business day. The specified change shall enter into force for each agreement from the beginning of the new interest period, i. e. from the moment when the new base-interest is applicable for the loan.
  • The overdraft payment date may change in the future. If the payment date falls on the holiday, it will automatically be moved to the next business day. This means that the interest is calculated until the next business day. This change will apply from April 01, 2018.
  • The new payment schedule is prepared so that current payment days will be recalculated according to the business days. For example, if the payment day is the 13th date and it is Saturday, the new payment day will be Monday, the 15th of the month. The same rule applies to loan maturity date, where the last payment day will automatically move to the business day.
  • Please note that regarding the submission of data of the tax return or interests paid for housing loan and leasing in 2017 to the Tax and Customs Board, there will be disruptions in the work of Danske's Internet Bank from March 30 to April 02 due to the transition to the new technical platform, and it is not possible to submit declarations at that time. What do I need to know?

Debit card MasterCard Business Debit

  • Debit card limits are changing. Henceforth, payment terminals and ATMs are subject to daily and monthly limits. The daily limit remains the same. The current weekly limit will automatically become a monthly limit, which will be calculated as a quadruple (4-times) weekly limit.
  • The limit for payments in internet is added and this is equal to the limit set for transactions.
  • The customer can change the debit card limits in the Internet Bank for free.
  • In the future, the bank will not take service fee from viewing the balance and changing the PIN code from the ATMs of other banks.
  • A currency exchange fee of 2% from the transaction amount shall be added to all transactions performed in foreign currencies.
  • By default, the restrictions are set to the use of the card for magnetic strip transactions in certain countries' ATMs and payment terminals. The list of respective countries is visible in the Internet Bank where the customer can cancel the restriction for the desired period.

Credit card MasterCard Business Credit

  • Credit card limits are changing. Henceforth, payment terminals and ATMs are subject to daily and monthly limits. The daily limit of the credit card will be automatically the same as the current monthly limit. Current monthly limit remains the same.
  • The Internet payment limit will be added to the credit card, which is automatically equal to the monthly limit.
  • The customer can change the credit card transaction limits in the Internet Bank for free.
  • In the future, the bank will not take service fee from viewing the balance and changing the PIN code from the ATMs of other banks.
  • A currency exchange fee of 2% from the transaction amount shall be added to all card transactions performed in foreign currencies.
  • Credit card credit limit will not be automatically updated at the beginning of the month. Until reimbursement of the amount of transactions made last month, transactions can be made in the extent of free funds. To update the limit, the limit used as of the end of the month must be refunded by the 15th date of the next month (the current payment day was the 16th date). The bank will debit the necessary amount from the customer's current account on the payment date. The customer will also be able to make earlier repayments for the limit used. The limit is updated within the amount to be repaid. The amount exceeding the established credit limit must be repaid immediately.
  • The centralised statement of transactions with credit card will be sent to the customer via the Internet Bank in the future.
  • If previously the credit card credit limit contracts were open-ended, further their term will be 2 (two) years and this deadline can be extended by two years.
  • By default, the restrictions are set to the use of the card for magnetic strip transactions in certain countries' ATMs and payment terminals. The list of respective countries is visible in the Internet Bank where the customer can cancel the restriction for the desired period.

Credit card MasterCard Platinum Credit

  • Credit card limits are changing. Henceforth, payment terminals and ATMs are subject to daily and monthly limits. The daily limit of the credit card will be automatically the same as the current monthly limit. Current monthly limit remains the same.
  • The limit for payments in internet is added and this is equal to the limit set for transactions.
  • The customer can change the credit card transaction limits in the Internet Bank for free.
  • In the future, the bank will not take service fee from viewing the balance and changing the PIN code from the ATMs of other banks.
  • A currency exchange fee of 2% from the transaction amount shall be added to all transactions performed in foreign currencies.
  • Credit card credit limits will not be automatically renewed at the beginning of the month. Until repayment of the amount of transactions made last month, transactions can be made in the extent of free funds. To renew the limit, the limit used as of the end of the month must be refunded by the 15th date of the next month. The bank will debit the necessary amount from the customer's current account on the payment date. The customer will also be able to make earlier repayments for the used limit. The limit is renewed within the amount to be repaid. The amount exceeding the specified credit limit must be repaid immediately.
  • The consolidated statement of transactions with credit card will be sent to the customer via the Internet Bank in the future.
  • If previously the credit card credit limit agreements were concluded for an indefinite period, further their term will be 2 (two) years and this deadline can be extended by two years.
  • Monthly fee of the Platinum-package will be taken for the current month on the last day of the month. Earlier this fee was debited on the first day of the month for the previous month.
  • By default, the restrictions are set to the use of the card for magnetic strip transactions in certain countries' ATMs and payment terminals. The list of respective countries is available in the Internet Bank where the customer can cancel the restriction for the desired period.

Electronic channels

What do I need to know?

  • If no other agreement has been concluded with the bank, the limits for transactions under the teleservices agreements concluded before 1 April 2018 shall be valid for transactions in euro and each account opened after that date in another currency.
  • New standard terms will apply to the Security Elements contract.
  • In the electronic channels of Danske Bank, the user language can be selected in Estonian or English.
  • You can enter electronic channels using ID-card, Mobile ID, and PIN calculator. We will finish the use of code cards from March 31, 2018.

Internet bank

  • Danske's new Internet bank will be called Danske eBank and it can be used in Estonian and English.
  • You no longer need to enter a password when using a PIN calculator. This makes Internet bank easier to enter, but the service is still as secure as before.
  • You can set up your Internet Bank cover page by selecting the desired menu points and accounts you use most.
  • You can sign in to the Internet Bank from the Danske Bank webpage www.danskebank.ee. The new direct address of the Internet bank is https://e.danskebank.ee.
  • There will not be Telehansa, Teleteenus and CSV account statement formats anymore. The new format Excel is added. In the future, the Internet Bank will provide an account statement in formats ISO camt053, ISO camt052, Pdf, Excel, and on the screen.
  • ISO transaction codes will change in the Internet Bank as well as the LiveGate ISO statements. A list of new transaction codes can be found on our website: ISO transaction codes in account statement from April 01, 2018.

Mobile bank

  • An option to see the unconfirmed orders in the list of orders is added to the Mobile bank.
  • Danske’s new mobile bank will be called Danske mBank. An option to see the unconfirmed orders in the list of orders is added to the Mobile bank.

Telephone Bank

  • The option to use the Telephone Bank with Mobile ID is added.
  • You will no longer need a user ID to enter the Telephone Bank. Your name will be sufficient.
  • You can access all customer-related accounts in the Telephone Bank. You can no longer specify access only to specific accounts or choose specific permissions for Telephone Bank users.
  • It is no longer possible to make transfers in the Telephone Bank.

SMS notification

  • The customer will no longer be able to specify the desired name for the notification. The message is called according to the type of notification, such as receipts, withdrawal.
  • There is a new notification type that shows the balance of the account when the balance of the account changes.
  • The new notifications include the type of notification, date, time, IBAN, receipts/withdrawals, balance.
  • A minimum amount of notification can be specified in the notifications.
  • It is possible to specify the number of transactions to be shown in a single message.
  • Notifications will be sent every day between 08:00-23:00. For night transactions, notifications will be sent between 08:00-10:00.
  • You can add more than one phone number to which notifications are sent, if desired.
  • The standard terms of the electronic channels contract will be applied to the SMS notifications.

Bank Link

  • The Bank Link is changing. New address is: https://e.danskebank.ee/ib/site/ibpay/login (current address was: https://www.danskebank.ee/ibank/pizza/pizza).
  • From April 01, 2018, it is not possible to make queries that do not correspond to the updated specification via the Bank Link service. You can examine the new specification on our webpage.
  • The Bank Link payments will have the same fee as applied to the intra-bank payments. If the customer does not have to pay for intra-bank payments, the Bank Link payments will also be free for him or her.
  • Only the users who have the permission to confirm payments independently can make the Bank Link payments.

What do I need to do?

  • To use the updated Mobile Bank, please remove the old app from your phone and install the Danske mBank app. You can download the new app from the App Store or Google Play environment.
  • Please review the permissions of your employees who use the Telephone Bank.

  • You will no longer need a user ID to enter the Telephone Bank. Your name will be sufficient.
  • You can access all customer-related accounts in the Telephone Bank. You can no longer specify access only to specific accounts or choose specific permissions for Telephone Bank users.
  • The user rights of the Telephone Bank are extended to all accounts opened in the name of customer, but transfers can only be made by the account holder or legal representative.
  • The transaction limits will change, contact the bank in case of any questions.

SMS notification

  • The customer will no longer be able to specify the desired name for the notification. The message is called according to the type of notification, such as receipts, withdrawal.
  • There is a new notification type that shows the balance of the account when the balance of the account changes.

What do I need to know?

Regarding the transition to a single bank system platform in all Baltic countries, we will update the general structure of the bank´s Price List, the names of services and service fees from April 01, 2018. Also, a number of service fees are changing.

Payments

  • Payments between own accounts are free of charge.
  • Intra-bank payments in foreign currency have the same price as intra-bank euro payments (0.16 euros).
  • The price of domestic urgent payment is 7.50 euros.
  • If a legal person registered in Estonia has not joined the payment package, itwill have to pay the monthly administration fee of the current account (3 euros).
  • The following rates apply to the payment packages:
    • Settlement Package 8 euros per month
    • Payment package 50 15 euros per month
    • Payment package 100 22 euros per month
    • Payment package 150 28 euros per month
    • Payment package 300 45 euros per month

Bank cards

  • A currency exchange fee of 2% from the transaction amount shall be added to all card transactions performed in foreign currencies.
  • The monthly service fee of the debit card MasterCard Business Debit is 2 euros.
  • The annual fee of the credit card MasterCard Corporate Classic is 50 euros.

  • A currency exchange fee of 2% from the transaction amount shall be added to all card transactions performed in foreign currencies.

Disagreement with changes

If the changes to the terms and conditions of agreements or the price list are not acceptable to you, you have the right to terminate the agreement(s) concluded with the bank immediately. For that, submit the relevant notice of termination of agreement(s) to the bank in writing and perform all contractual obligations beforehand.

Customers who do not terminate the agreement or agreements with the bank, will be deemed as accepting the new terms and conditions of agreements and changes to the price list.
