Deadlines for Execution of Payments during Easter Holidays

25.03.2013

Danske Bank processes domestic and international payments during the Easter holidays as follows:

Domestic payments will be accepted for execution and forwarded to the beneficiary’s bank on the same banking day if the payment order reaches the bank before 5:00 pm on 28 March.

29 March is a public holiday and no international payments are processed.

1 April is a business day in Estonia, but as it is Easter Monday, both the pan-European clearing system TARGET2 and the Estonian interbank retail payment system ESTA will be closed. Interbank payments are therefore sent to the beneficiary’s bank on 2 April. Intrabank payments are executed until 9:00 am on all calendar days.

International payments will be accepted for execution on the same business day if the payment order reaches the bank:
before 4:00 pm on 28 March; before 2:00 pm for EU, urgent and extra urgent payments; and before 3:00 pm for intragroup payments. As 29 March and 1 April are public holidays in many European countries, then no payments to these countries will be executed.

Depending on the type of international payment, the value dates of international payments in euros are determined as follows:
- extra urgent payment order and intragroup payment – 28 March 2013
- urgent and EU-payment order – 2 April 2013
- ordinary payment – 3 April 2013

29 March is a public holiday and no international payments will be executed.
International payments in euros will not be made on 1 April, as the pan-European clearing system TARGET2 will be closed.

Happy holidays!
